Happy Monday! We have something BIG to share today so we are just going to dive right in! We recently had the pleasure of working on a styled wedding editorial with Michael Will at the Fairmont Hotel Pittsburgh and when Michael first approached us with the idea it was like a love-at-first-sight moment. We got to work closely with Michael and Natalie from the Fairmont on the design and overall aesthetic of the shoot and created some modern and luxurious magic with this A-list team.
We are huge fans of Michael’s work and have dubbed him the “King of Color.” Whenever we get photos back from him, he absolutely nails the true color and vibrancy of the flowers every single time. We are still not sure why we approached him with the Grayscale concept, but we knew he would nail that too!
For this shoot, Michael gave us free reign for event design. We wanted something sophisticated, clean, modern, luxurious, and sexy because when we think of the Fairmont hotel, those words come to mind. With a color palette of black, gray, white, and silver, we focused our design around soft flowers and reflective surfaces like our crystal candelabras, the mirrored top tables from All Occasions’ Marbella line, and our infinity smoky glass candleholders.
Be sure to check out the complete list of rockstar vendors who helped create all this modern magic at the bottom of this post!
Michael had a really cool gray backdrop that he wanted to use. We painted leaves and greenery in all shades of gray, white and silver and added them to the backdrop as a frame.
Loree Mayer Design nailed it (as she always does) with these menu cards!
How about that evening mood lighting? Gorgeous!
And now for a quick costume change! We absolutely LOVE both of her gowns for this shoot from Luna Boutique.
