The bouquet is made of circus, vendella and freedom roses mixed with orange mokara orchids, mango calla lilies, and bright green cymbidium orchids. I’m so excited to enter into the fall season. My husband and I were married in Oct 2005 so I always have a special fondness for the season. I’m even more excited that my 2008 brides are breaking the rules of what a fall wedding should look like. We have a lot of very unique weddings in the near future so keep tuned!
As we were driving to set up today’s wedding, I realized it was a pumpkin spice day. I’m addicted to Starbuck’s pumpkin spiced lattes, but the weather has just been too hot lately to truly appreciate the first fall flavor of the year. The leaves are starting to change, but it just hasn’t felt like fall until today. It reminded me of a bouquet that I made for Christen’s wedding on August 30th.
Her date was not quite fall, but not quite summer either. The kids are heading back to school and the fall TV season is starting, but there are still a few weeks left of summer. I think Christen captured this time of the year perfectly with her color choices. It hinted at the colors of the months to come, but added a kick with the bright green of the orchids and the bridesmaid dresses. Isn’t this the perfect color combination for this time of year?
