Mocha Rose Floral Designs was founded in 2005 by a husband and wife team in the Pittsburgh area.  April Schwietz is the lead designer and has always had a passion for flowers.  In April of 2008, we opened our new design studio by appointment in Bloomfield at 4602 Penn Avenue.

Mocha Rose is primarily an event florist but we have also expanded our business with weekly corporate, restaurant and residential accounts, rentals and designs for small intimate affairs such as showers, dinner parties and nonprofit events.

Mocha Rose is different than the typical florist as we do not participate in traditional floral services such a small arrangements for birthdays, wire services and funerals.  Instead, we focus on event design, corporate accounts, restaurant flowers and bulk ordering. 

Events are our top priority.  From your first consultation we will look at the event as a whole, which will fall together with the beauty of the arrangements you choose.  Give us your general ideas and we will turn them into a lavish, memorable event.  We work with you throughout your planning process and consider ourselves as floral coordinators.  We not only design the arrangements, we deliver, set up and ensure that every petal and ribbon is perfectly placed.   Our somewhat obsessive attention to detail is evident in our designs.  We pride ourselves in only using the freshest flowers, the highest quality ribbons and the friendliest staff.
